• Gharana (School):

Radheshyam Sharma – master of famous Pakhawaj school – «Nathdwara Gharana» and great Tabla school – «Ajrada Gharana». He took training from famous artists among which his father Totaram Sharma. He also learnt from great masters like Dada Guru Swami Murali Dhar, Pandit Purushottam Das and Professor Sudhir Kumar Saxena, a follower of Ustad Habibuddin Khan.

  • The Music:

Pakhawaj and Tabla are of great importance in Indian traditional classical music. Radheshyam Sharma is the undisputed master of solo playing as well as accompilishment in this respect. His aesthetic viewpoints towards music are highly recognized everywhere.

  • The Maestro:

Radheshyam Sharma has given concerts and taught in many countries of the world. The basis of his scholastic activity represents ancient Vedic System of knowledge transfer from tutor to student – called Guru-Shishya Parampara. Radheshyam Sharma has a lot of followers in India and other countries of the world. From 1991 to 1994 he gave concerts and tutored in France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Denmark and Peru. In the years of 19961997 he gave public performances and teaching classes in the United States. From 2007 to 2010 Radheshyam Sharma gave teaching classes of classical Indian music in the «Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Centre» established by Indian Embassy and in «Moscow State P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory». Nowadays Radheshyam Sharma is giving concerts and conducting classes in Moscow, (Russia). Together with his students Radheshyam Sharma organized «RadostbMusic» project, which is aimed to create possibility of positive musical influence on humanity and make interaction between eastern and western cultures.

  • Achievements:

Pandit Radheshyam Sharma is a “TOP” grade artist according to «All India Radio», and he is also juror of the «Music Audition Board» in Delhi. He received music degrees of B. Mus (Prabhakar) and M. Mus (Praveen) both in Tabla and Pakhawaj from «Prayag Sangit Samiti» (Allahabad),and he has a BA in Economics from the University of Agra. He was awarded by a prestigious national reward of «MHRD» and also he was also complimented by «Sahitya Kala Parishad» due to his outstanding performance and contribution to Pakhawaj development.
